Position Overview:
This role supports daily operations and maintenance activities at the Petroleum Sarawak Gas (PSG) site, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of natural gas. Reporting to Work Supervisors, the position involves coordinating with technicians to execute preventive and corrective maintenance, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot operational issues. The role ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, maintains accurate records, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency across downstream gas facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily activities for PSG Site Operation & Maintenance, reporting to Work Supervisors.
- Support Work Supervisors with a focus on operation & maintenance schedule compliance and work site reporting.
- Oversee daily operations of the gas distribution system, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of natural gas to customers.
- Work with a team of technicians, coordinating maintenance and repair activities, monitoring system performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Responsible for Operation & Maintenance site execution, carrying out day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Collaborate with technicians to oversee and manage day-to-day operations of downstream gas facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability, compliance with safety regulations, and minimize the risk of unexpected breakdowns or failures.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, collaborating with maintenance teams and other stakeholders to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including technicians, operators, and contractors, to execute maintenance and repair activities, adhere to schedules, and minimize disruptions to operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and incidents for reference and future analysis.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, ensuring that downstream gas operations are conducted in accordance with applicable guidelines.
- Perform operation and maintenance tasks (metering, electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical) as instructed by work orders or superiors to maximize efficiency and productivity for PSG Operation.
- Carry out duties to ensure the proper functioning, maintenance, and safety of operational systems and equipment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Diploma in Recognized Engineering Program and with project engineering/ management advance trainings under the established program (e.g., Operation & Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering) is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Upstream/Downstream Projects within the O&G industry (FPSO, FSO, Offshore platform, Offshore Rigs, Onshore Plants).
- At least 3 years of experience in operation & maintenance background.
- Good exposure to commissioning in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Knowledge of HV systems, switchgear systems, transformers, rectification units, electric motors, metering systems, control systems, HMI, PLC, PI System, computer skills (Word, Excel, MS Project, SAP), UPS systems, solar power and charging.
