Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-house expertise on control, instrumentation, and automation systems, while developing internal technical capability through hands-on guidance and mentorship.
  • Support smooth plant start-up by reviewing and validating control logic, protection interlocks, and system integration prior to commissioning.
  • Enhance troubleshooting effectiveness during testing and start-up activities, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and accurately.
  • Reduce reliance on external vendors by strengthening internal competency for critical control system verification and validation.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer and foster competency development within the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team through structured coaching, documentation, and active support.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related instrumentation/control systems field.
  • Professional certification in control systems engineering is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in control and instrumentation engineering, preferably within the power generation or process industry.
  • Strong understanding of control system design, instrumentation technologies, and electrical engineering principles.
  • Proficient in control system programming (e.g., ladder logic, function block diagram) and familiar with tools such as Allen‑Bradley and Siemens.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) and basic networking concepts.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex control system issues.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
