Position Overview:
This role is accountable for the management of supplier’s qualification and registration as PETROS suppliers, management of tools that support registration of supplier, data management and report, management of supplier relationship, performance and strategic suppliers as well as leading the local content strategy, development and capability of Sarawakian suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage end-to-end supplier’s application for registration and qualification processes.
- Ensure the process of suppliers’ application is well organized and evaluation is done in accordance with the process flow, criteria and guidelines.
- Ensure timely evaluation of supplier application and presentation to Vendor Registration Committee (VRC) on monthly basis.
- Manage and organize VRC and ensure timely approval by VRC, as well as ensure timely issuance of PETROS supplier certificate upon approval by the VRC.
- Monthly reporting of suppliers' qualification and registration status and progress to Head of Supply Chain.
- Resolve all issues relating to suppliers registration and if necessary, escalate to Supply Chain Management and be the point of contact for suppliers during pre-qualification process.
- Ensure timely response to suppliers’ queries related to suppliers registration and qualification.
- Manage all interfaces with suppliers, stakeholders and supply chain team and management.
- Develop KPI for supplier qualification and registration process and ensure the team meet the set KPI.
- Manage suppliers management tools that support supplier registration and reporting to ensure accurate and efficient data management.
- Maintain and update suppliers' database and tools that form the basis of bidders’ list for tender requirements.
- Develop and drive local content strategy and initiatives aimed at enhancing the capabilities of local Sarawak suppliers to meet the needs of the oil and gas industry.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Legal or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Group Procurement or Business Operations. Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.
- Proven knowledge and relevant minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in the supplier relationship management and development category or any related categories. Profound experience within the oil and gas industry is desirable.
- Has deep understanding on procurement and supply chain management processes, with extensive experience in supplier liaison and stakeholder communication skills.
