Position Overview:
The role holds ultimate accountability for the strategic oversight and overall management of all company contracts post-award. Operating in strict compliance with the Supply Chain Procedure (SCP) - Post Award Management, this role ensures consistent, compliant, and auditable execution of post-award activities across the entire company. The incumbent will safeguard contractual, commercial, and governance outcomes from the point of contract award (effective date or Notice to Proceed) right through to expiry, completion, and formal close-out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce robust controls to ensure total contract commitments, variations, Changes to Contracts, Contract Amendments, and payments strictly remain within the Approved Contract Value (ACV).
- Oversee the execution of post-award contract administration, ensuring all contractual notices, instructions, and correspondence are issued and managed in accordance with approved procedures.
- Challenge, stop, or escalate any post-award actions, contract commitments, variations, extensions, or payments that fall outside approved procedures, the ACV, or the established Delegation of Authority/Limit of Authority (LOA).
- Govern contract spend reporting, forecasting, and the early warning system for potential overruns, actively preventing ACV overruns without proper LOA approval.
- Ensure all variations, changes, and claims are managed according to post-award procedures, fully approved, documented, and maintain strict audit traceability.
- Establish and maintain a centralized, highly visible contract expiry and extension option register , leveraging ERP tools like SAP and automated dashboards for real-time tracking.
- Oversee formal contract close-outs, ensuring final accounts, claims settlements, release of securities, and completion documentation are executed in full compliance with SCP. Champion the maintenance of complete, accurate, and audit-ready digital records throughout execution to support paperless sustainability goals.
- Submit consolidated monthly ACV reports to the Group Head of Supply Chain, escalating any systemic non-compliance or control gaps. Ensure comprehensive management of contract data in SAP aligns with strict operational guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Law (Legal), or a closely related field.
- Minimum 10 years of dedicated experience in Supply Chain Post Award Contract Management, with strong background in ACV control, cost management, and contract financial oversight, alongside hands-on experience driving contract lifecycle management (execution to close-out), handling complex variations and claims. Proven experience ensuring compliance with procedures, governance, and stringent audit requirements will be an added advantage.
- Strong expertise in post-award contract management and governance, as well as skilled at evaluating and negotiating change orders, contract variations, and commercial risks.
- Strong analytical capability, with advanced proficiency in contract management systems, ERP tools, SAP, and performance reporting/dashboards.
- Strong governance mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive, risk-management approach.
