Position Overview:

 

 

Act as PETROS' technical authority for production operations within the Non-Operated Ventures (NOV) portfolio. This senior role is responsible for governing and optimizing production delivery, ensuring safe and cost-effective operations and rigorously challenging operators to protect and maximize asset value through expert production planning, uptime management and commercial oversight.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Take ownership of the asset's production performance, proactively monitoring and analyzing data to ensure delivery against the Upstream NOV Asset scorecard targets and the annual business plan.
  • Rigorously review and challenge the Operator's production delivery plans, implementation strategies and operational effectiveness. Identify areas of concern and intervene early to ensure production assurance, cost management, and safe operations.
  • Provide critical oversight on Metering, Temperature, Accounting and Allocation (MTAB) processes to prevent value leakage. 
  • Review and endorse production forecasts, tanker schedules, lifting plans and entitlement programs, providing a robust technical and commercial perspective.
  • Systematically evaluate and challenge production opportunities and threat mitigation plans. Scrutinize cost estimates to maximize in-year and lifecycle asset value, with a sharp focus on unit cost performance, facility capacity and schedule adherence.
  • Serve as PETROS' primary production engineering interface, maintaining effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, including JV partners and operators, to align goals and secure production objectives.
  • Mentor, coach and train young talents in upstream production operations, instilling a strong sense of value-focused decision-making and technical excellence.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Process, Chemical, Petroleum or a related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience in upstream Oil & Gas E&P production delivery, including production planning and asset technical assurance within a PSC/JV environment.
  • Possess strong technical knowledge in offshore upstream production operations, including terminal operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with a desire to improve solutions, systems, and processes, with focus to integrate and support multi-discipline teams.
  • Excel at communicating complex technical and commercial concepts to internal teams, senior management and external JV partners.
  • Possess strong HSSE, integrity & ethics standards and experience in subsurface disciplines is a distinct advantage.
