Position Overview:
Lead and drive Asset Management strategies for the Upstream NOV Asset, focusing on maximizing asset value through operational excellence, cost leadership and risk management. This senior role is responsible for setting and governing maintenance and operations philosophies, championing asset integrity and orchestrating cross-functional teams to optimize production uptime, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver on the asset's strategic and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate, document and gain approval for the long-term maintenance and operational philosophy for the asset, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic business plan.
- Play a lead role in developing the annual maintenance and operations budget (Work Program & Budget - WPB), providing robust justification for expenditures and proactively managing costs throughout the fiscal year.
- Prepare and present technical reports, performance updates and budget proposals to Joint Venture partners. Effectively communicate PETROS' positions and secure necessary approvals and funding.
- Identify and implement Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) methodologies to transition from reactive to proactive maintenance strategies.
- Analyse production data and operational practices to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Lead value-improvement projects and identify opportunities for lifecycle cost reduction without compromising safety or integrity, such as spare part optimization and contract re-negotiation.
- Provide support to derive Technical Concurrence on maintenance and operations-related activities and projects to meet PETROS investment objectives i.e. ensure all activities are bottom line focused, meet short-medium-long term goals/issues, business processes remain pragmatic and efficient and always with sound HSSE management practices.
- Provide structured guidance and mentorship to graduate and junior engineers, including setting development goals, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
- Develop and deliver technical training sessions on maintenance best practices, operational procedures, and lessons learned from incidents to uplift the entire team's capability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Process, Chemical, Petroleum or a related Engineering field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas E&P sector, with substantial hands-on experience in offshore surface operations within a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) or Joint Venture (JV) environment.
- Possess strong technical knowledge in offshore production operations and maintenance.
- Strong analytical skills with a desire to improve solutions, systems, and processes, with focus to integrate and support multi-discipline teams.
- Formal training and/or certification to act as a Technical Authority (TA) in a relevant engineering discipline, with experience in providing technical governance and concurrence.
- Practical experience in developing and justifying Work Program & Budgets (WPB) for maintenance and projects, with a strong understanding of economic evaluation and cost management.
- Excellent communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders.
- Possess strong HSSE, integrity & ethics standards.
