WHAT IS THE JOB ABOUT?

 

1.    Business Planning

  • To develop, document and implement business plans including presentations for management and stakeholders on business operations & development
  • To support the team in addressing operational and cost related issues in business planning
  • To perform business and financial analysis across upstream, identify issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity and quality
  • To identify risk and uncertainties, rank against heat map and develop mitigation plans or new opportunities to add business value

 

2.    Production and Cost Analysis

  • To support operated and non-operated ventures in analysing data, identifying gaps, proposing sustainable solutions and continue monitoring via regular forum
  • To compare plan vs actual, for Work Program and Budget (WP&B), Authority for Expenditures (AFE), Additional Budget Request (ABR), cashcall and Joint Interest Billing (JIB)
  • To translate information into useful presentation to show variance, gaps and propose resolutions
  • To work with multiple disciplines and cross-functional team to achieve objectives

 

3.    Operational Improvement Initiatives

  • To support the team to monitor the lookahead plan, to maintain scorecards related information and to keep track initiatives progress
  • To support IT solutions on Visual Management Board (VMB), production database and performance monitoring

 

WHAT DO I NEED TO QUALIFY?

  • Engineering degree with minimum 10 years of experience in petroleum industry 
  • 5 – 10 years operational experience in Production Sharing Contract (PSC) / Joint venture (JV) environment. Experience with PSC accounting and NOV governance processes
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with a desire to improve solutions, systems, and processes and capable of enforcing processes and procedures.
  • Internally motivated, able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience in production operations including hydrocarbon accounting would be an advantage. 
  • Experience with LEAN and Six Sigma would be an advantage.
