Position Overview:

 

 

Serve as PETROS Upstream’s primary maintenance authority, ensuring our joint venture assets achieve peak performance, reliability and value. This is a critical leadership position responsible for governing the maintenance strategy, challenging operators to protect shareholder interests and driving operational excellence across all maintenance activities and facility improvement projects.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Strategic Maintenance Leadership - Develop, govern and continuously improve the overall maintenance strategy for NOV assets. You will be accountable for delivering the asset's maintenance-related scorecard targets, directly influencing the annual business plan and corporate strategy.
  • Technical Governance & Assurance - Act as a key Technical Authority, providing critical review and formal recommendations for Technical Concurrence on all maintenance activities and facility improvement projects (FIP). You will ensure all operator-submitted procedures and philosophies are robust, cost-effective and align with PETROS' stringent HSSE and integrity standards.
  • Performance & Cost Accountability - Hold direct accountability for achieving key maintenance objectives in HSSE, production reliability, predictive maintenance implementation and cost management. You will analyze performance data to challenge the operator and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Influence & JV Management - Serve as PETROS' primary maintenance representative in engagements with Joint Venture partners and operators. You will "provide strong challenge and steer" to protect shareholder value, negotiating and influencing decisions at senior levels.
  • Tactical Project Oversight - Provide tactical leadership and oversight for maintenance-related projects, including pipeline initiatives, from planning through to execution, ensuring they meet investment objectives and deliver value.
  • Talent Development - Mentor, assess and coach emerging talents within the team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and value-driven decision-making in maintenance practices.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Process, Chemical, Petroleum or a related Engineering field. 
  • Minimum of 10 years of extensive offshore maintenance experience in the Oil & Gas E&P sector, with a deep understanding of Production Sharing Contracts (PSC), Non-Operated Ventures (NOV) and Joint Venture (JV) environments.
  • Proven experience in a lead or supervisory capacity, with a background in managing Non-Operated Ventures or in a similar shareholder representative role being a significant advantage.
  • Able to provide recommendations by leveraging on strong technical knowledge in offshore production maintenance & facility improvement projects.
  • Able to lead a team and provide strong challenge and steer operator to protect shareholder’s value.
  • Strong analytical skills with a desire to improve solutions, systems, and processes, with focus to integrate and support multi-discipline teams.
  • Proven experience and training in the end-to-end management of Facility Improvement Projects (FIP), from scope definition and planning to execution and delivery.
  • Practical experience in developing and justifying Work Program & Budgets (WPB) for maintenance and projects, with a strong understanding of economic evaluation and cost management.
