Position Overview:
You will be part of a dynamic environment designed to foster both your functional training and personal development. In this role, you will gain a strong foundation in key areas of commercial function of the organization, supporting the development and implementation of commercial strategies, and ensuring that the company's commercial activities are aligned with its overall objectives. As you progress, you will build confidence in addressing complex commercial-related challenges, particularly within the Oil & Gas, and energy sectors. Throughout this journey, you will receive mentorship from experienced commercial managers with extensive industry expertise, attend training and workshop sessions led by external commercial experts—ensuring you enhance your technical and commercial skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively support planning, development and coordination of commercial matters including assisting with inputs and data required for making commercial and strategic decisions.
- Support and liaise externally and internally for strategy & commercial initiatives and overall coordination.
- Assist in negotiation preparations leading to execution of commercial agreements while developing strategies and milestones for project planning and opportunity framing.
- Establish good strategic rapport with internal and external stakeholders towards critical path of business strategy plan evaluations and decision making.
- Develop economics and commercial analysis to support portfolio/deals decision making.
- Develop and manage relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to support effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Keep abreast of local and international oil and gas market developments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Studies/Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics).
- Fresh graduate or at the maximum of 3 years of working experience in the related field.
- Adaptability with ability to work in and across a multi-cultural environment in economic and social transition with many complexities and uncertainties, and with political, governmental and other non-commercial counter parties.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Kuching, Sarawak.
- Able to handle daily tasks with Microsoft Office.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to make reasoned judgements based on available information.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good working in a team and ability to work independently in managing timeline.
