Position Overview:
The Graduate Analyst, Regulatory Liaison will be responsible for supporting the team in ensuring PETROS’ compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements while facilitating effective communication and collaboration with external stakeholders. This entry-level role offers hands-on exposure to regulatory affairs, stakeholder engagement, and CSR coordination, contributing to the company’s legal compliance, stakeholder trust, and positive corporate reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory submissions, tracking permit statuses, and supporting compliance reviews.
- Support the planning and coordination of stakeholder meetings, briefings, and community engagement activities.
- Maintain records of communications, meeting minutes, and regulatory updates in the department’s repository, preparing reports and presentations on land-related regulatory activities while ensuring compliance with internal document management procedures.
- Assist in managing and tracking community grievances, participate in meetings to resolve conflicts and supporting the implementation of mediation of activities.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Assist in organizing logistics for regulatory visits, workshops, and CSR events.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Relations, Communications, Environmental Science, Social Science, or a related field with coursework covering land law, community relations, and environmental regulations.
- Fresh graduates with up to 3 years of working experience in a related field, with CGPA 3.0 and above.
- Internship or academic project experience in regulatory affairs, public policy, CSR, or stakeholder engagement is preferred.
- Basic understanding of land regulations and permitting processes specific to Sarawak, Malaysia
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) and build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong analytical and research skills, including the ability to interpret legal and technical documents.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and contribute constructively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Awareness of or fluency in local languages spoken within PETROS’s operational areas is an added advantage but not compulsory.
- Basic awareness of community liaison and mediation skills.
