Position Overview:
This role will play a critical role in shaping these pioneering projects from concept through to feasibility and FEED. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, technology providers, and regulators to ensure that each opportunity is technically robust, economically viable, and aligned with our sustainability commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead front-end engineering studies (Feasibility, Concept Select, FEED) for CCUS projects, including capture, transport, and storage solutions.
- Develop and assess project concepts, covering facilities sizing, cost estimates, economic screening, and project schedules.
- Drive opportunity framing workshops and guide projects through decision gates.
- Coordinate with external consultants, regulators, and internal discipline engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct HSE risk assessments, environmental and social impact studies, and embed sustainability into project design.
- Contribute to the growth of Sarawak’s CCUS hub and Malaysia’s long-term net-zero strategy.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in major engineering field (Chemical/Process preferred) from accredited universities.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in front-end engineering within the oil & gas industry.
- Exposure to CCUS projects, gas processing, or CO₂ handling systems is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of project development processes (FEL/Decision Gates, cost estimation, risk management) and project schedules, including project planning tools.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with ability to work across disciplines and engage external stakeholders.
- Training in FEL, ORP and LEAN methodology is preferable.
