Position Overview
The Manager, Ecosystem Development plays a critical role in translating the Sarawak Gas Roadmap Ecosystem Blueprint into actionable strategies, with an emphasis on the successful implementation of the Blueprint programmes. These programmes focus on creating a robust vendor development ecosystem, the establishment of infrastructure, capabilities and financial enablers. Hence, this position is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of programme implementation aligned with the Sarawak Gas Roadmap progress and overall State’s industry growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the implementation of the SGR Ecosystem Blueprint, ensuring each programme is implemented effectively through close collaboration with external or internal programme owners. Programmes range from developing the Supply Base and Fabrication Yard Development, SGR Activity Horizon, Strategic Partnerships, Industrial Capability, Enterprise Excellence and Financial Facilitation.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal PETROS departments such as Supply Chain Management (SCM), Upstream, Downstream, Projects, Industrial Capability, Finance. This includes collaborating/working closely in framing approach to programme implementation, reporting mechanisms and reviewing progress of programmes.
- Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the Blueprint execution and ecosystem expansion, through periodic reporting and continuous engagements with internal and external key stakeholders.
- Work closely with regulatory agencies, relevant ministries, vendor associations and industry stakeholders, when required, to align programmes with public policies, economic development goals and overall successful delivery of the Sarawak Gas Roadmap.
- Prepare and present periodic updates to senior leadership on progress of the Blueprint development and eventual implementation of initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or project management or a related discipline. Qualifications in supply chain management and logistics is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in vendor management or a related role, with a strong understanding of the oil and gas industry.
- Minimum 3 years in services development, strategy or procurement industry or experience.
- Possess a sound understanding of energy transition and current market awareness in the renewable energy space.
- Strong knowledge of governance, compliance and risk management principles, with expertise in vendor relationship governance and contract management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
