POSITION OVERVIEW

 

  • To monitor and administer the implementation of the compliance aspects of PETROS business activities
  • To assist the Compliance Manager/Lead to ensure that all Business Units have good understanding and fully adhered to existing local, State and Federal laws and regulations

 

WHAT IS THE JOB ABOUT?

 

    • Develop and maintain an up-to-date Compliance Register and the corresponding procedure(s) for the Company, covering all aspects of the activities
    • Develop and implement a monitoring and the regular reporting process. This is to oversee and assure on-going compliance with all the regulatory requirements for the Company
    • Monitor the application process to confirm required regulatory licenses and permits will be available when required and any delays are actively focused upon to take corrective action to prevent schedule impacts
    • Assist in regularly conducting internal audits to verify that systems in place are effectively functioning and company procedures and guidelines meeting government regulations
    • Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations and to update status to GM Regulatory & Compliance
    • Work closely with Contractors/Operators to ensure they are aware of any legal / permitting requirements and application is triggered in time for ensuring availability when required
    • Keep abreast with internal Standards, Policies and the latest amendments to current local, State and Federal laws and regulations in insuring that the company comply to the latest change to the regulatory requirements
    • Assist the Compliance Manager/Lead to liaise with stakeholders in the Government agencies

 

WHAT DO I NEED TO QUALIFY?

 

  • Minimum Degree in engineering or legal with good knowledge and understanding on relevant local, State and Federal laws and regulations
  • At least 5 years of working experience in Oil & Gas industry facilities such as offshore facilities/platforms and onshore Oil &Gas plants
  • Preferably have experience in analyzing regulatory compliance matters; both with industry participants and regulator y agencies
  • Passion for practical application of regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skill in inspecting the facts and documentation
  • Self-starter and ability in multi-tasking (new/start-up company)
  • Computer literacy skills
