WHAT IS MY PURPOSE?

 

  • Manage PETROS interests in its joint-ventures in compliance with Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) and Joint-Operating Agreements (JOAs).
  • Ensure all Operators’ exploration and drilling work, facilities design, project execution and construction, and Operations and HSSE activities comply with agreed standards and guidelines, relevant statutory laws, and PETRONAS Procedures and Guidelines for Upstream Activities (PPGUA).
  • Drive PSC Operators towards low-cost mindset through continuous improvements to bring value the investments.
  • Develop Corporate Management System (CMS) procedures and guidelines related to NOV venture assets.
  • Facilitate staff development through secondment or OJT training of PETROS staff in Operators’ organizations. 

 

 

WHAT IS THE JOB ABOUT?

 

  • Participate in the evaluation for farm-in due diligence exercises.
  • Represent PETROS in periodic Technical Committee Meetings and provide advice to PETROS Management Committee representatives.
  • Lead technical and financial teams to review and challenge Operators proposed annual work programme and budget (WP&B) to derive agreement on production targets and Capex and Opex to meet investment objectives.
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure quality and delivery from PSC operators, including existing fields optimization, field development plans, re-development recommendations, and field abandonment plans.
  • Coordinate with PSC Operators in project milestone reviews, Field Development Plan (FDP), Final Investment Decision (FID), Approval for Expenditure (AFE), Additional Budget Request (ABR), Cashcall, Joint-venture audit.
  • Coordinate with PSC Operators and internal technical and finance functions for the monthly, quarterly and annual performance reporting and reviews.
  • Monitor the production performance to upkeep Unit Production Cost (UPC) to set targets and coordinate the resolution of worksite operation and maintenance issues.
  • Deliver NOV scorecard targets in annual business plan and assist to set delivery objectives.

 

WHAT DO I NEED TO QUALIFY?

 

  • Minimum B.Sc. degree in Engineering, with 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas E&P sector, mostly offshore.
  • High safety, environmental and ethics standards.
  • Ability to build and maintain Regulator and venture partner relationships.
  • Leadership, business and technical skills necessary to lead and integrate multi-discipline, multi-cultural teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge in offshore exploration, development projects, production operations and maintenance.
  • Prior experience in managing Non- Operated Ventures or Joint Ventures, in technical, commercial and finance areas, would be an advantage.
  • This position will be based in Kuching, Sarawak with business travel to asset/business locations as required.
