Position Overview:

The Terminal Operations Supervisor, serving as the Company Site Representative, oversees a third-party owned, managed, and operated LPG terminal. This role ensures the terminal operates in line with regulatory requirements, company standards, and contract agreements. The Terminal Operations Supervisor acts as the primary liaison between the company and the third-party terminal operator, ensuring safety, compliance, quality, and operational efficiency. This role is to be based in Bintulu, Sarawak.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day terminal operations, including receiving, storage, bottling, and loading/unloading of LPG.
  • Ensure operations comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Supervise receiving operations, ensuring accurate measurement and documentation of LPG deliveries.
  • Manage LPG storage facilities, ensuring safe practices, optimal inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Supervise bottling processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Oversee loading/unloading of LPG cylinders and bulk distribution, coordinating with logistics for dispatch.
  • Act as primary liaison with third-party terminal operators, suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor safety performance, lead incident investigations, and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Track cylinder inventory, maintenance, and compliance with inspection standards.
  • Monitor operational costs, manage budgets, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Support sales and supply coordination by providing inventory updates and aligning terminal operations with demand.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and reporting on operational performance.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in LPG terminal operations or a similar terminal operation/management role.
  • Strong knowledge of LPG handling, storage, bottling, bulk distribution processes, and supply chain management is highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in using terminal management software and technology.
  • Excellent knowledge of HSE regulations, industry codes, and best practices.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Have strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
